With this yoga for surfers 14 days online course we´ll get you ready to be paddling long and strong from day one during your holidays and catch waves with the right mindset. Balance, focus, strength, and flexibility as well as the right mindset is what you need and what you get with this surf yoga course. We will target the muscle areas that are important for a surfer but will also make sure you get enough rest to recover and don´t burn yourself off before you are at the ocean. 

I´ll guide you through a yoga class and meditation each day. An e-book will help you understand that yoga and surfing are deeply connected with each other and that one benefits from the other. I will mindfully motivate you towards your goal.

Surf-Yoga Relaxation and Muscle Release

You are an individual free surfer who needs a good stretch after the surf? Traveling by yourself, maybe in your Van, and don´t want to drive somewhere for the after-surf yoga class? 

During these 10 relaxing yin but also yang yoga classes we will be stretching the different muscle areas that you need during your surf, so you will be ready the next day again. Moreover, I will guide you through short meditations on different topics, all regarding surfing. Your performance in the water is defined by so much more than just the surf itself. The body needs some ease for the muscles, relaxation, and stretches.

The classes are perfect for your surf holidays and with your phone, laptop or tablet you can take them wherever you are going. Sorted by the targeted area in the body you can simply pick and chose which one is the right for you on that day. As an add-on, you will get a mini-flow for the beach, that will get you warmed up before you paddle out.

Does yoga help with surfing?

Yoga is a lot more than movement. It is an integration of body and mind. Therefore Yoga can help to improve your surf both, physically and mentally. The get ready for your surf holidays online course will mainly focus on the body, the physical movement. Strength, balance, and flexibility. But I will also include some breathing and meditation exercises, that will help you mentally. Surfing is becoming one with the ocean and feeling what the wave is doing. Yoga is becoming one with yourself and feeling what you need. I think there is rarely something that goes hand in hand as good as Surf and Yoga. 

How do you stretch after surfing?

A good after-surf stretch can get you ready for the next day of surfing like you would have never imagined. I would highly recommend including Yin-Yoga in your after-surf stretches. Moreover, it is important to feel into your body and listen to what it needs. Therefore I tagged and named the videos and classes of the after-surf yoga online course according to the specific body areas. You will find 10 classes in total. 4 will focus on the lower body, 4 on the upper body, and 2 will be full body stretches. Each of them giving you the relief you are craving after a long surf session. 

When does the course start?

The course starts, whenever you want it to start. The videos are all pre-recorded. This way you can watch the videos and read the handbook according to your own time schedule. 

How often can I watch the course?

You can watch the videos and the whole course as often as you want to. Once you purchased the yoga for surfers course you will get access to the videos, the workbook, and all the information and always come back to them whenever you want to. 

Is the course for beginner--Yogis or more advanced Yogis?

These Yoga classes are for every level and I give options to go deeper or stay where you are depending on your ability and body structure. The lessons will get more challenging with the course. You will notice that I like to flow slowly through the transitions, which makes the practise more tricky, but will help you develop more awareness.

  • In September 2020 I joined the yoga retreat led by Katharina Maloun in Upper Austria. We were given insight into a mix of Yin and Yang Yoga and ended each day with a Yoga Nidra session. In addition, topics such as journaling, the meaning of the moon, mindfulness and meditation exercises were on the daily schedule. Nevertheless, there was also enough free time for self-study, exchange with other participants or a short walk in nature. Thanks to Kathi’s positive and authentic charisma, I had the feeling of being at home within a family atmosphere.
